Full Quiver Mission Runs the Richmond Marathon!

please be patient while photos load--It's the best part!

Full Quiver Mission set out to "jog" the consciences of thousands of marathon runners on Saturday, November 9th. The Murch Family joined Denny Green and Life & Liberty Ministries in Richmond, Virginia for the annual Richmond Marathon. Over 6,000 runners were assembled to run a 26-mile course around Richmond. We set up at Mile #3 and then later at Mile #20, which was a major milestone for the runners. They were less happy to see us at Mile 20 than at Mile 3!

We set up at 8:00 am on Boulevard in Richmond. The Boulevard is lined with trees and we had a sign at every tree. At right Aaron Murch (19), Ben Murch (17) and Gabriel Green show the truth about abortion.

Conversations with the runners were obviously short:

Remark: "That is GROSS!"

Answer: "Yes, that IS gross! Can you believe what some people will do to a baby?"

Remark: "What is seeing these pictures doing for me running this race?"

Answer: "What is running a race doing to help these babies?"

Remark (at Mile 20): "I need some hope right now. Can your God give me some hope?"

Answer: "YES! Why...Can't yours?"

Those of course were the nicer exchanges. We were cursed and spit on. "Christians" came up to us and told us how pro-life they were and how offended they were that we were doing this. Bruce remarked that they had no business criticizing what we were doing unless they were willing to do something for the babies themselves. One "Christian" "lady" then put up her middle finger. Christians. Indeed.

Lauren Murch (15) had an interesting exchange with a woman who challenged her as to what abortion had to do with a marathon. Lauren explained that it was a large captive audience that needed to see the truth. The woman was pushing a small baby in a stroller, her fourth it turns out. She then told Lauren that she never aborted a baby because she knew it wasn't right, but she never realized what it really was until just now when she saw our pictures. There were other high spots as some runners came down our line one by one and thanked us for taking a stand. One buffoon went down the line trying to knock the signs out of the hands of each of the children. He got down near Bruce, who pitched his sign to the ground and moved toward the runner, warning him that an attack on any of these children would mean a certain defense of them (A man who will not take care of his own is worse than an infidel). The man circled wide of Bruce, unleashed a rash of profanity and kept running. At right, Bruce and Christian Green are in the thick of the crowd at the Mile #20 Checkpoint.

We pray as always, that at least one among them will have been moved to repentance through being exposed to the truth.

Once again, the Word of God has gone forth; Public wickedness has been rebuked; The Gospel has been preached; The public is left WITHOUT EXCUSE.

We are currently in urgent need of funds to continue on with these events. We are a frugal people and good stewards of that which we receive for the LORD's work. If you are able to help out the Murch Family to continue the Work, please send your gift to:
