The Mission Expands!

March 2008

Big changes have come to the Murch Family, with a direct impact on the ministry of Full Quiver Mission.

The Murch Family in 1990, the year after we first started. Bev holds newborn Jesse, Lauren, Ben and Aaron holding onto mischevous little Sam.

Our family ministry efforts began 19 years ago, in March of 1989, when Aaron our oldest was only six years old and we had but four children. Beverly & Bruce were 31 & 32. Since that time we have weathered jail and lawsuits, deprivation and blessing, great joy and serious hardship. We remain faithful to the task God has set before us.

January 1, 2008, the first of our nine children left the nest. Ben, age 22, will be married this year, Lord willing, and has moved himself and his woodworking shop to the Orlando area to be near his bride-to-be. They plan eventually to move back near the farm, but for now, he is away.

Sam, now 19, works 75 miles from the farm and has been commuting every day since October '07. He has an excellent job working for a Christian who highly regards him and his work. He is now renting a room near his work and comes home Friday night through Sunday night.

Aaron, our oldest son, is planning to move out to the Virginia coast in Norfolk, where a Christian friend of his is stationed at the Naval Base. Aaron is trying to get his business and work life established and the opportunities in our remote, rural location are limited. He and his friend will be trying their hand at business together.

Our oldest daughter Lauren, now 20, is being courted by a young street-preaching evangelist. We have no idea at this point how much longer we will have her with us. She also cares for an elderly woman and is gone every weekend.

Our home, called Covenant Farm, is finally a true farm with cows, goats, donkeys, and we are also breeding Labrador Retrievers. For the over five years we have been here we have desired this, and God has finally granted it! But it comes with a huge work load and many responsibilities.

All of these things taken together mean something that it has been hard for us to come to grips with the reality of: That the ministry of The Murch Family as it has existed for the last 19 years is over!

Beverly holds baby Sam (now 19) and sings with other prayer warriors at the front door of an abortuary in New Bedford, Mass. in April 1989. Bruce is inside with other members of Operation Rescue, stopping the killing of the preborn. Two babies were saved this day. This was the second of over 50 times Bruce would be arrested.

That does NOT mean that are no longer in the ministry! But it does mean that the days of eleven Murches piling into the van and headed to a week-long ministry tour somewhere far away have passed.

What does this mean for us? As the title to this page indicates, the Mission Expands!

The Murch Family influence is now spreading to Florida and across the state of Virginia and wherever Murch children migrate to, taking their faith and their unquenchable zeal with them! The fact is that our family is now doing MORE ministry now than in years past, in terms of days and hours per year of ministry. But we have had to change our tactics.

Those of our children who are still free to travel with large groups like the Missionaries to the Preborn or Repent America or Life & Liberty Ministries do so whenever the opportunities arise. But more often, they are simply going out on their own or with a few friends to a Virginia campus to preach and witness, or jumping in a car with some signs and literature and heading to an abortion clinic.On the rare occasions when we can all leave the house together we do so, but the opportunities are limited. God has belssed our title examination business, and after almost two years of not having any work at all, it is necessary that apply ourselves to this business and give our clients the excellent service that a Christian contractor should deliver.

But we are still out there!

We are a family ministry dedicated to the uncompromised preaching
of the Word of God in the Public Square;
Speaking with the enemies in the gate;
And vigorous opposition to infanticide in all of its forms.
We speak an anti-abortion, anti- birth control message
to the world and to the church.
We stand against the public wickedness of sodomy,
fornication, adultery and the other grave sins
that are bringing our nation under judgment.
We preach God's Justice & Judgment, and His Great Salvation.
